About
Hali Martin
Hali Martin is an Austin-based studio potter whose practice centers on wheel-thrown and handbuilt forms, colored mason stains and marbling, to create textural, layered ceramic pieces that are both functional and sculptural.
They apprenticed with Lauren Robertson (Hey Moon Ceramics) in 2023–2024 and are a member of Broad Studios (2022–2023; 2024–2025).
Martin’s technical focus includes electric cone-6 workflows, clay prep and reclaim by hand, small electric-kiln loading assistance, and maintenance of shared equipment and work areas.
Parallel to her studio work, Martin serves as Vice President and Founding Board Member of Future Front Texas, moderating public programs and supporting artist-led initiatives. Her current direction aims to explore the creation of larger, organic forms that reflect the natural world around us, and she hopes to collaborate with other artists to develop additional skills, style, and voice in their work.

What began as resource-sharing became a community grounded in practical tools, honest storytelling, and mutual support.
